The author of this report reflects on the performance of the latest 64 bit version of VirtualBox and how guest operating systems perform. The results are startling,with guests running at speeds one would expect if they were actually installed. Whilst 3D effects cannot be emulated in the guest OS they can be left enabled on the host machine.
